My mother has taught me life lessons that no one else can teach.
One rather emotional day, my mother looked into my eyes and was eagerly waiting for some words that could keep us grounded.
The strongest people need the most sensitive expression. I, in my most prevalent uncertainty, felt clear to say ‘Mom, I trust you’.
Her eyes, so anticipatory, so touched, glazed into me; peering into my soul that felt courage and confidence to be herself.
Just imagine the power of words and the energies they carry that can make us feel a renewed spark and a sense of indefatigability to navigate anything that comes our way.
The way she responded to those words made my day. And that day, in that emotional uncertainty I learned to trust myself because she was with me, in my soul, in proximity that only the divine can comprehend.
So when you say these words – I trust you – to anyone, personal or professional, you will garner the benefits of regulating not just your emotions but also of the other person in conversation with you. And then things will fall in place, effortlessly and naturally.
Even in business, we need to speak up the language of trust – implicit and explicit – so that we keep the collective grounded and nurtured with care and compassion.
In its highest comprehension, expressing trust unlocks the highest and the most effective performance, whether you are working for yourself, your audience, your customers or for an organisation.
Trust and being trusted lifts our spirits and guides us to our north vision.
I trust you 🙂
