It’s a beautiful afternoon, and I am marvelling at a gorgeous, raw sketch made by my cousin sister.
It feels like ‘wow’ – something which I don’t quite say that often. (Pardon a bit staunch synthesiser of moments in me; sometimes a bit archaic, but isn’t that the most beautiful irony of appreciating beauty?)
A wowing ‘wow’ is something I reckon as original – yes, original. And when I see it, I reinvent my view every time it greets my senses.
Sometimes, our ‘wow’ moments are right beneath the banal facade. Take for instance my sis’s sketch – the lips were so edgy and sharp, defining the meaning in minutiae of her jaw. And that sizzling sharp sketch made me discover something new in my quaint aperture. Her art is truly therapeutic and discerning.
So, the next time you look at someone’s brand – online or physical – try to see what is not said, because silence is a language. It is the real design that elicits the innate emotion that always, surprisingly vibes with our energies and takes us to a place where we feel safe to express our feelings and simply be ourselves.
Our emotions have functional facets – because that’s the way we bring our conceptual thinking some shape and structural shine.
This is when we create ‘wow’, when we learn to discern and sometimes simply observe without consciously judging and subconsciously ‘integrating a wider perspective’.
Let the mundane reveal its disruption. Let your work be ‘a campaign of your calling’. Let your art complete someone who felt depleted at some point. Let your personal brand be your voice that travels with time and make your vows, a big wow!
Let’s turn our clenched jaws into inhaling some goodness in our lungs and breathe out creating something jaw-dropping!
