Evolution

I read an amazing post by Florence Divet on LinkedIn on people changing jobs rather frequently. It is not a sign of instability, it’s a sign of growth; a sign of evolution.

My former career has always been disruptive. I never settled in a job for more than 1-2 years. And not because I was immature or restive, I was just not unlocking my highest version for the version of my job that I felt was somehow flailing and rather predictive.

And even in times when I was giving my ‘relative’ best, mediocrity killed me faster than I thought.

Sometimes, not settling for anything less than world-class is seen as impatient. But most of the times, at least in my experience, shaking the status quo for my personal mission made me evolve as the most amazing version of myself.

Evolution is a visceral shift in your consciousness. As you evolve, you dissolve your older versions; you emerge viably competitive.

You see novel approaches as you birth your new self. You sense wonder in thriving in insignificance and anonymity. You widen and sharpen and deepen your self-awareness. And from this place of your mind’s strength, you create the future. You like the discomfort of growing and comfort of quitting – because you love figuring out what the market needs. When you learn the MBA of Life, consider yourself evolving with intention and clarity you feel, one uncertain moment a time.

So next time someone bemoans your lack of stickability, stick with what works for you on a personal level. (This is the real career design, accessible to all with their self-awareness of what brings out your natural potency to do something meaningful and missionary.)

And then start to simply create – all you need is that one deep message and a sense of servitude, I promise you, you will be rewarded!
