Remembering goodness

We always fast-track. We try to comply with what our future selves will be. But of late I have been contemplating on how good we all are already. Like, the ship that has already arrived at its shore. Like, a riveting feeling of finishing a smooth cup of coffee and an article that is well-written. I thank the amazing teas and coffees have had while penning my thoughts since 10 years – now that’s some time, right?

When you remember the moments that have shaped you into the amazing person you are today, you become more grateful for this progress.

So, on an inspiring note, I recollect the goodness within with a lot of attribution going to Naval Ravikant – where, in on of his posts, he mentioned that it takes 10 years to build a career – to truly be deep in your skills and imminently grow.

Isn’t this a feeling of truly arriving into the person you have always been – just that the skills have sharpened and the wisdom more profound than ever?

Goodness has always been there within us – just that it is layered.

When you scan your life’s pattern for the goodness in places, experiences, and people that have made you what you, you become humanly optimistic about your life. (I got to learn about this is the book called The Happiness Advantage by the exemplary Shawn Achor.)

Go back to those experiences when you felt your most amazing self – and the power of remembering that for the future makes you live your best present!
